Somehow we are already at the end of 2025 — and what a year it has been.
Our mental health field has moved through tremendous changes, and our
communities have felt the impact deeply. In moments like these, I think
it’s important to pause and remember why we do this work.
Our ethical foundations — nonmaleficence, beneficence, autonomy, and justice — keep us centered in our purpose: tosupport, uplift, and advocate for the communities we serve, especially those who have been directly targeted over these last several months.
And as we close out this year, I hope you also take a moment for yourself — for rest, reflection, and grounding. You deserve it.
On Friday December 12, our chapter celebrated our holiday dinner with 30 members — and it was pure joy. We laughed, we connected, we built new relationships, and our White Elephant exchange was a whole vibe!
We’re excited to officially endorse Omar González Valentín for CAMFT Clinical Director-At-Large. Omar represents leadership grounded in equity, professionalism, and heart — and we need more voices like his at the state level.
CAMFT elections beginMarch 2026 — please get to know his work and get involved in the voting process!
Closing the Year with Love
As 2025 comes to a close, I want to offer this reminder:
You matter. Your work matters. Your presence matters.
May you finish this year gently, with space for joy, connection, and rest.
May the new year meet you with hope, abundance, and opportunities that align with your purpose.
Thank you for everything you have poured into your clients, your communities, and this profession.
