UPDATE: HR 2759 – Mental Health Access Improvement Act
Adding LMFTs as Medicare Providers

Thank you for encouraging your U.S. Representative to co-sponsor this bill which would allow LMFTs to become Medicare mental health providers. Over 1,400 CAMFT members have taken action since this campaign began on July 20, 2015, and as of September 20, seven (7) U.S. Representatives have signed on as co-sponsors to this legislation.
U.S. Representatives from California who have signed on as co-sponsors, as of September 20, 2015, include: Representatives Anna Eshoo, Jared Huffman, Zoe Lofgren, Adam Schiff, and Mike Thompson. To see a complete list of co-sponsors, click here.
We have extended this campaign until November 20, 2015 in order to increase the number of co-sponsors and to demonstrate that this bill has strong support.
We’ll keep you posted on the progress of this bill. In the meantime, we ask that you encourage your colleagues to urge their U.S. Representative to co-sponsor HR 2759.
